catch up time

Happy Memorial Day! Such a beautiful day to celebrate all those amazing men and women in uniform: thank you for all you do!

Let me catch you up on my week:
Wednesday I came home from work...with a 101 fever, the chills, and a sore throat.
I went to be praying I'd be better for the weekend.
Thursday I woke up, still at 101, and went to the doctor. Who thought I had strep, test was negative, so I pleaded for him to give me the strongest drug he had.
Friday all better!! It's amazing what some antibiotics and sleep can do.

Saturday morning we took off for Tampa to enjoy family and baseball! Two things my family does best.
On the way we made a pit stop in Orlando to get my dress for my best friends wedding in October! We've been besties since we were 2! I'm so excited for her, and it's getting so close!

So off to the Indians/Rays game we went!

(her first Tribe game, so excited!)

bush gardens!

he was sunning himself :)

All in all, I had a wonderful weekend! So blessed.

I just finished Heaven is for Real...I can't even begin to try and put all my thoughts together about it yet because it was so good. In short: it's about a little boy who dies and goes to heaven and comes back to tell about it. I cried, laughed, and had to put it down at times to take it all in. I'm working on a blog about it so stay tuned :)

Hoping your week is starting off well!

my life

Hi beautiful! My week some how slipped away from me!
I can't tell you how excited I am about my giveaway (go here to enter)! You all truly bless me and I can't wait to mail that book off to a lucky reader!

Day 29: Write about "a day in the life of me" (pictures!)

So here it is...my weekend in pictures.

Saturday I witnessed God in all His glory as my parents got baptized.

I can't really put into words how awesome it was. We grew up a 'church family', but none of us really started a walk with Christ until the last 5 years...and actually, my dad got saved last year, around this time. It has been such a blessing watching them grow in Christ together.

I then got to spend my afternoon with Reagan...(ps, all the pictures to follow are iPhone pictures)

we played with a giant monkey.

and then went to the mall!

and then I introduced her to Spongebob.

That night, Sonny and I met his friends out for dinner, along with my big sister Amanda (right) and then our little sister Melinda (left), surprised us both and came home for the weekend!

Today, I spent my afternoon lounging by my parents pool with my family.

(and laughing at my dad for putting that ridiculous hat on :])

I fed my dog ice cream...it's called Frosty Paws, and it's indeed ice cream made for dogs.

then, I put the top down and blared country music on my way home.

watching the sunset, and thanking God for yet another, amazing weekend.

So that's my life. I was fortunate to have the weekend off, so no pictures of me in my ninja outfit (I have to wear all black). I also start all my mornings out with coffee incase you were wondering.
But the biggest part of it all is that I'm one blessed girl :)

off to bed, tomorrow is every ones favorite day of the week: Monday.

sleep tight!

Play Ball!

Baseball: America's favorite past time.

Who doesn't love a good baseball game with a hot dog and a cold drink?!
For dads birthday Friday night, we all headed up to the ball park to enjoy a Spring Training game! I've never been to a Spring Training game before, just over to the stadium to cheer on those Brevard Manatees! I must say, for Brevard county I was impressed with the turn out!

The game didn't go so well for the Washington Nationals, but the time we got to spend together was great.

Family: those people in your life that drive you insane, and you wouldn't have it any other way.

God has blessed me beyond measure with the most amazing family in the world (and it keeps growing!). I like to think that we're a normal family, but if you ask anyone whose been around us for a period of time, they'll tell you that we're anything but.
We're dysfunctional.
We argue.
We make fun of each other.
We avoid our mom when we did something wrong (still).
We always go to dad first to ask permission.
We always wanted more growing up, even though our parents gave us the moon.

As crazy as we are though, we're still family. The strongest bond between any people.

And boy are we bonded with each other! This is where I be honest: we're too close for comfort. But I wouldn't change it for the world.
We love each other more than anything.
Because our parents loved us more than anything.

I couldn't imagine what life would be like with out a family like mine.

Anybody a fan of that great tv show Everybody loves Raymond? Great show huh, with the funny parents that are always at the sons house.
Yep well I think we could start a show called Everybody loves the Hollowells.

God has just blessed my sister and brother in law with the opportunity to move...right across from grandma and grandpa!

Being a close family just went up a whole nother level.

Here's to bbqs and nights spent in the pool!
