your task.

i'm reading through acts right now. and so filled with hope.

i'm encouraged so much because these men never stopped. they traveled from town to town (on foot or maybe a donkey here and there no less) with one thing in mind: to make known the love of Christ.
they weren't out seeking self promotion.
they weren't looking for people to recognize them, but the One Who lives in them.

they were mocked.
thrown in jail.
killed even.

but they never stopped.

my heart is full this morning because God is stirring my heart. there are some really big things ahead for me (no, can't tell you yet). but i can tell you that i am so over the moon excited.
and terrified, but that's for another post.

our lives were not mean to be lived ordinarily.

we weren't created to fit in.
to be just like everyone else.

the disciples sure as heck weren't.

if there's any doubt in your mind today that God doesn't have an extraordinary plan for your life, i'm praying that today you would realize how wrong that thought is.

because He does.

life is moving 100 miles per hour right now for me. and it's so exciting.

my heart is beating for Jesus and His beautiful promises He's made me.

"i consider my life worth nothing to me;
my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me-
the task of testifying to the
good news of
God's grace"
acts 20:24

my life...is nothing.
the life He has given me, is everything.

this is the task we've been given.

be blessed!

so humbling. i love the book of acts :) it's remarkable to see how beautifully His disciples reflected His purpose--and so selflessly. that really is our goal; it's difficult (and scary) to embrace that idea that our journey is not ordinary, that we should be striving for vulnerability. but it's so worth it.

grace & love,
kristyn

Such a great post! So true--we were meant to be extraordinary, and that is terrifying...but oh so worth it.
