...I walked down the aisle with my dad, in front of all our closest family and friends...and said 'I do'.

that day was like a dream. so much more than i could have ever imagined. and it was all so great because of who i was standing next to.

lot's of people don't believe in true love ever existing. i say they're wrong. because this, this is true love:

it's hard to believe that a whole year has gone by since we professed our love to each other, promising to always keep God first, and to take care of each other.

but man has this past year been fun.

i think during the planning of the wedding i got so swepped up with the wedding details that i didn't focus on the future, i just kept hearing how 'hard the first year would be'.

which was a total lie.

because if that was supposed to be the hardest then we're set for life.

it's hard to put into words how much you love someone when you get married...unless you're a poet, which i am  not.

but i can tell you that i married my best friend and i love him more than anything. i can tell you that he's my rock when things get hard. i can tell you he still makes me laugh at the stupid things he does. i can tell you that i don't fear about my future because i know he's a man who will provide for his family. i can tell you that i think the's still a hottie ;). and i can tell you that every once in a while, when he grabs my face and gives me a kiss, those butterflies show back up.

this past year was so much more than i could have ever imagined and it's all because God wanted it that way.

so happy anniversary to the best hubby in the world! i love you so much baby boy! here's to ninety nine more.

all my love,
meg

ps. i'll be gone for the week...we're off to our cruise tomorrow! have a great week loves!

this is our wedding song:

Dear hubby

Dear husband,
First off, I want to thank you for changing my flat tire yesterday...or trying to anyways. I'm currently sitting in your car watching you, so handsome :) and I promise I won't tell anyone about the whole jack thing.
Second off, I just want you to know that the next time we play Monopoly you owe me $750 (I added more interest).
Third, and for the remainder of this love note, I'm going to tell you how wonderful you are.
I'm going to make sure you know that I don't know where I'd be without you, or who I'd be.
I'm going to tell you that there is no other person in the world I'd rather kiss goodnight.
I'm going to tell you that I think you're the most handsome man God ever made.
I'm going to tell you that I can't wait for my children to call you 'daddy'.
I'm going to tell you that I think you're a great cook, and we can work on the whole house keeping thing.
I'm going to tell you that you make me laugh until my cheeks hurt.
I'm going to tell you that I feel safe with you, and I know you'll never let anything or anyone hurt me again.
I'm going to tell you that I look up to you...spiritually, and mentally.
I'm going to tell you that I think your a Godly business man.
I'm going to tell you that you lift me up...spiritually and mentally.
I'm going to tell you that I am so over the moon in love with you that I'm finding it hard to put all in words.

So I hope you know Sonny, that I am so blessed to call you my husband.
I love you booboo.

hope you love bugs are having a wonderful weekend! in the midst of all the praising Jesus/family time, I'm fitting in an 8 page paper I have neglected till two days ago that's due on Monday.
be blessed! and Happy Easter!!

I am woman...hear me whine.

Day 12: Write about what wears you out as a woman.

WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN!?

Laugh all you want dear friend, but you're right there with me.

Let's see...should I start with the that happy time of the month? Where I just have flocks of people wanting to be around me.
Or how about the fact that at a certain age my whole body just said 'haha, can you keep up'.
Or how about the fact that I'll have to give birth to children.
Or how about the fact that later in life I'll get hot flashes and be even crazier than I already am.
Or how about the fact that I have to shave my legs or people think I'm weird; don't even get me started on the arm pits. OH and it all grows back twice as fast.
Or how about the fact that UNLIKE my husband, I 'watch my weight'.
Or how about the fact that it takes me too long to get ready because I 'don't have anything to wear'.

I hope you're laughing like I am :)

In all seriousness, it wears me out just being a woman. Try as I might, I'm not perfect and I sometimes care too much about what other people think.
It's tiring trying to be the woman. But someone has to do the job!

But say it with me girlfriend: boys are grossed and thank you Lord for making me a beautiful woman!

There's this organic restaurant/market down the road form our apartment, and today we ventured off to: The Jungle.
The whole restaurant is set up like you're really in the jungle.
A large note for my readers who don't know me too well:
I am not the organic type of girl.
I don't really think I'm cool enough to pull off the 'organic' thing either.
So this was a big deal.

(there was actually a waterfall behind us)

It was AmAzInG! Seriously. I got a Veggie Flatbread with chicken and all sorts of yummy veggies.
We'll be back.

Then we ventured to Wally World...in the middle of the day. Boy was that exciting. Not to mention since we live beach side and it is spring break, it's fun to people watch. Does anyone up north know that SPF will help? :)

It's been a wonderful day!
How has your day been?

To the one who makes my heart come alive

Day 5: Write a blog thanking someone who has made your heart come alive.

I don't think there's much competition when it comes to the person who has made my heart pitter patter, flip flop, and jump for joy: my hubby.

Sonny,
I feel like it's cheesy to say 'thank you for everything you've done for me' because it seems we only reserve those kinds of things for people who have physically done something for us. And although you have taken out the trash a couple times, I'm thanking you for a little bit more than that.
When we met 2 (and almost a half) years ago you changed my life. I had given up completely on love and figured that it was just going to be me against the world forever. What I didn't know that New Years Eve was, although I found you super timid and shy, you'd become the one who I'd go to first, the one I'd kiss good-night, the one I'd wake up to, the one I'd make waffles for, the one I'd love unconditionally.
You have made my heart come alive.
You've made me realize that this life means nothing without having someone to share it with. And then you made me the happiest girl in the world, and asked me to marry you...and now I get to have a happy heart forever. I have no fears with you because I know you'll take care of me, I don't worry about things now because you will take care of them.
These rings don't just mean the same last name, they mean we get to start a family. For the next 50 years we get to share every wonderful memory together, and share all the joys God will give us. Sometimes I have to pinch myself because some days this doesn't seem real.
But it is.
I am so excited about our future. The hundreds more trips to Disney, the million more lovey texts you'll send me, the thousands more smiles you'll bring to my face, and the billions more pictures we'll take.
Sonny you have not only become my husband, you have become my best friend. You've become my other half and the person I count on most. I share my secrets with you, and all the weird things that make me me and you love me even more. I can't imagine a day with out you, or a day where I don't go to bed loving you more than I did the night before.
I am so blessed and proud to call myself your wife.
I love you more than you'll ever know.

Hospitals, basketball, and inspirations.

It's only been two months and this marriage hasn't seen a dull moment!
Little did I know this morning when I woke up that I would be spending the night in the hospital with a hubby missing his appendix.
We started the morning around 10 at a walk in clinic, and ended up at the emergency room. We kept hearing it was a 'useless organ'...useless organ? I'm putting that on my list of why questions to God.

Not to worry though, appendicitis is nothing to fear...especially when you catch it as early as we did, well I mean the doctors caught it, I just sat there the whole time holding his hand. And the next time I write to you, I'll be in the comfort of my own home. Cause lets face it, this hospital floor is not working for me.

But I wouldn't leave his side for anything.
And we'll be on our way home tomorrow so I can fetch him whatever he wants for the next couple of days while he watches March Madness...oh the life.

So a couple of weeks ago, I came across a wonderful blog, with the most inspiring idea.
It's called Project 31 and it was created for women to be inspired by their God given beauty and to celebrate all the beautiful women in their lives.

The idea was taken from:
Proverbs 31
10 Who can find a virtuous wife?

For her worth is far above rubies.

11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.

12 She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.

13 She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.

14 She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.

15 She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.

16 She considers a field and buys it;
From her profits she plants a vineyard.

17 She girds herself with strength,
      And strengthens her arms.

18 She perceives that her merchandise is good,
And her lamp does not go out by night.

19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.

20 She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.

21 She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.

22 She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.

23 Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.

24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.

25 Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.

26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.

27 She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.

28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:

29 “ Many daughters have done well,
      But you excel them all.”

30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.

The Word of God never stops inspiring me.
So how does it work? For the next 31 day's I will post a blog on the following list. I'll include pictures (of me and you!) things that inspire me, outifits I love, I'll celebrate the beauty God has given me, and the women I look up to.
