the trick, i think, is to pray when we don't need anything.
it's easy in our time's of need to get down on our knees, and lift up that prayer of "need". when we're hurting, or need something to happen. those prayers come flowing out of our mouths, like water flows down a creek.
but what about on the other days?
the days when life is just amazing. how quick are we to just thank Him for what we've been given?
my prayer life is a constant work. there are days i don't do it at all {gasp, i'm a real person}, and days that i'm so late for school and work because i just couldn't stop in the morning.
lately though, i've been sending up a lot of, "help me God's". things have just been hard around here. sick family members, my future staring me in my face and giving me the look of "what now", too busy to notice what day of the week it is.
the beauty of God is that He already knows when we need the prayers. He's up there waiting for us to call on His name to answer, because He does.
those family members left the hospital to go home. praise Jesus.
my future is getting ironed out smoothly like a wrinkle going away on a shirt.
even before we freak out, He's got it all figured out.
and that my friends, is something to take a big sign of relief at.
all my love,
meg

I wrote something like this a while ago and I think it's so important to remember. Praying every day for just no reason other than to talk to God is wonderful! And I'm so happy that things are looking up for you and your family members :)
Love this!!!
Love this so much. Thanks for sharing!
LOVE this :) "even before we freak out, He's got it all figured out." I need to go post that somewhere!
Love you!
Sometimes we forget the power of prayer! It's always good to be reminded. And so true - he is just waiting to hear from His children.
